Our Values

We believe that purposely bred dogs should be genetically healthy, correct in structure, sound in temperament, and versatile in ability. Our focus, is to produce excellent examples of the breed, who encompass those key traits.

Registration and Sports

Our dogs are dual registered with both the American Kennel Club and the United Kennel Club. We enjoy competing and achieving titles under both registries.

While we compete in some more than others, these sports are our favorite-

• Conformation
• Weight Pull
• Lure Coursing

With limited time and resources, there are multiple other sports that we've only had the opportunity to try once or twice. We're looking forward to adding to our list of favorites in the future.

The sport we invest the largest amount of time and enjoy the most is Conformation. This sport is where a dog is judged on how well it conforms to the published standard for the breed.

Commitment to Versatility

While proving our dogs conform to a breed standard through Conformation showing is important, it's not the only thing that matters.

It's important to us that our dogs are more than just a pretty face. Dogs should also be functional and versatile, with abilities that align with their standard and purpose.

We maintain both functionality and versatility through actively working and competing in performance events. We've found our dogs not only have the ability to work and compete, they also love it.

Commitment to Health

There are many components of orthopedic health. However, certain areas have been identified as problematic for dogs and as part of the health testing process, are evaluated by experts using x-rays.

Our dogs are evaluated for orthopedic health through at least one organization.  First, we use these tests to confirm it's safe to compete in more physically demanding sports. The results are also used to determine if a dog is structurally sound and orthopedically worthy of reproducing. Before breeding, we ensure our dog's results are compatible with potential mates who, at a minimum, also have passing scores on their evaluations.

Our dogs are tested for breed relevant diseases and are only bred either clear to clear status or clear to carrier status to ensure our dogs are not affected by genetic diseases.
